DESCRIPTION:Shootback is proud to be the featured exhibition at the Rubenstein Gallery at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington\, DC. Please join us for a celebration of 18 years of youth photography in Kenya and new collaborations in DC!\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOOTBACK: Photos by Kids from Nairobi and DC\n\nTuesday\, March 17\, 2015\n6:00-8:00 pm\nRubenstein Gallery\nSidwell Friends School\n3825 Wisconsin Ave NW\nWashington\, DC 20016\n\nIn DC\, Shootback has collaborated with the local nonprofits Reach Incorporated\, Shout Mouse Press\, and City Year DC to help bring photography and writing programs to at-risk youth. Four books have come out of these collaborations and will be available for purchase on the night. A book featuring the work of Kenyan Shootback star photographer Julius Mwelu and the Mwelu Foundation will also be available. All proceeds to benefit the respective nonprofits.\n\n\nPlease come ready to look\, learn\, and be inspired by the talent of Kenyan and DC youth!\n\n\nThe Shootback exhibition will be on view until March 20\, 2015.
