Ali Barisa

I am fifteen years old and I live in Kahawa Githurai zone. I have six brothers and one sister, and I am living with both of my parents. I was named Ali after my grandfather. ‘Ali’ means ‘great father of the Nation’. I am doing all I can so as to earn my future living in this tough globe. I am looking forward in my life to be a professional footballer and photographer. Shootback is my dream because I was waiting for such a chance. In our project, we are working with Francis Kimanzi and Lana Wong. They are helping us very much. They have taught us how to use cameras. At this moment we are using Yashica, Canon and Clearshot cameras. My hobbies are taking pictures and playing football. I have taken a lot of pictures covering clean-ups and lifestyles in the slum.
